When I try to install Print Screen Deluxe, a message comes up that says,
"Please be sure that Print Screen Deluxe(s) are closed before installing."
I have not installed Print Screen Deluxe. What do I do?
You could have a folder or a window open with the words Print Screen in
the title.Make sure that all folders, windows and programs are closed
before installing.
Also look in the bottom right hand corner of the screen next to where the
clock is, and see if you see a little blue eye. If you do, that is Print
Screen Deluxe. Right click on that eye and select EXIT - that will close
Print Screen Deluxe and let you install.
When I try to print a DVD screen, all I get is a black screen. Can you

This remains an inconsistent feature with Print Screen Deluxe, however
users have noted some success when using the following steps.
What you must do to print a DVD screen is to first start the PSD, and set
it to select a rectangular area. With the movie frame in view press
PRINTSCREEN. the movie frame goes black. Select an area anyway and let PSD
catch the image. Now the frame comes back into view in the player and here
you can press PRINTSCREEN again. Now you can capture the frame.

multiple images to one page?
In order to print multiple images to a page, you must do a few things
first. They are as follows:
1) Open Print Screen Deluxe 4.0
2) Click on File--Preferences
3) Click on the Program tab
4) Make certain that the "Use Thumbnail Viewer" is checked.
Now when you do a screen print, the program will capture your print and
save it to your hard drive. After you have captured multiple screens, go
back to Print Screen Deluxe 4.0 and click on the Thumbnails tab. This will
show a listing of all the images that you have capture in Print Screen
Deluxe 4.0. In order to print several images on one page, just select the
images that you want to print. (you can select multiple images by holding
down the CTRL key on your keyboard while you click on additional images)
After you have selected the images that you want to print, just right
click on the images and select Print.
When you click on Print, the program will show a small window that will
let you determine the placement of the images on the page that you print.
(one per page, two per page etc.)
After this, click on OK and your images will print.

can I use the video feature of Print Screen Deluxe?
To capture a video in Print Screen Deluxe, do the following.
1. Click on "File", then "Preferences"
2. Click on the option "Create a movie of events as they happen on my PC".
You may also elect to "Include the mouse cursor" in your capture.
3. Under "Program" in the Preferences section, you may also elect to
automatically save your capture. Once all the options you want are
checked,
you can minimize Print Screen Deluxe.
4. Press the PrintScreen key to start your capture. Capture for as long as
you want. While you are capturing you will hear a 'thunk' sound, which
reminds you that capture is active.
5. When you're done, press the PrintScreen key again, to stop the capture.
The sound will stop.
6. You may then view your capture by pressing the play button (right
arrow)
at the bottom of the screen. You can also pause the playback.
7. The capture can be full screen and is useful for doing tutorials.

What you are referring to is the rectangle capture option.
To use the Rectangle Capture option, open Print Screen Deluxe 4.0, and
click on Options. Now click on Capture Options. Select Rectangle. Now
minimize Print Screen Deluxe 4.0 and press the Print Screen key on the
keyboard. Your mouse cursor will now turn into a cross hair. Now all you
have to do is Click using your left mouse button and drag. A square will
follow you around. Just have the square enclose what you want to print,
and it will print.
The Print Screen hotkey is already taken by another program or keyboard,
how can I use Print Screen Deluxe?
To change the Print Screen Deluxe hotkey, just open Print Screen Deluxe,
and click on File. Now click on Preferences. At the bottom of the window
that just appeared, you will two boxes that let you customize the hotkey
for Print Screen Deluxe. In the top box, select Custom. In the bottom box,
press the keys on the keyboard that you want to change the Print Screen
Deluxe hotkey to. This should let you get Print Screen Deluxe working.

can I capture the text from a Full Screen DOS window?
In order to capture the text from a DOS screen, you must first click File;
Preferences and make sure that the option to "Also capture all clipboard
text including DOS full screens." is selected. Then go to your DOS full
screen window and then press the print screen key. This will capture all
of the text that is in the DOS screen.
To view the text, go back to Print Screen Deluxe 4.0 by clicking on the
little blue eye in the system tray (the area next to the clock) Once you
are there, just click on the text tab and you should see your text.
How do
I print a DOS screen using Print Screen Deluxe?
Print Screen Deluxe 4.0 will not print a full screen DOS window. It will
grab the text from that window and print that, but it will not print a
FULL SCREEN DOS window. In order to print a DOS window you will need to
press Alt-Enter while the DOS program is the current window. This will
make the DOS screen become a window like any other program and then you
can print that window like any other.
To print this window, open Print Screen Deluxe 4.0 and click on the
Options menu. Go down to where it says Capture Options. The setting that
you want is the Window setting. This will print whatever is in the current
window.
So, get your DOS screen in a window form and when you want to print it,
just press the Print Screen key on your keyboard.

capturing an image, how I crop the image?
What you will need to do to edit an image after you have captured it, is
to go back to Print Screen Deluxe by clicking on the little blue eye in
the system tray (next to the clock). After you have done this, click Edit:
Select Region. This will let you use several different items to select
with (rectangle, freehand etc.) Once you selected the region that you
want, click Edit again, and you will be able to Crop, as well as do some
other editing.
How do I print the screen?

For the add comments feature, once you have captured an image, just click
Edit and then click Add Comments. Just click on the image where you want
the comments to appear, type what you want to appear, and they will appear
there. Then click on File: Print to print the screen.
